The Fairbanks Museum and Planetarium

This museum is a wonderful place for the every one to visit. Plan on spending at least an hour here, more if you are going to catch the show at the Planetarium. The museum features a unique Victorian style collection of local wildlife. Seeing these creatures so close is a rare treat.

 Burke Mountain is the center of activity all year round offering excellent downhill skiing, cross country skiing, as well as mountain biking and hiking. Rentals are available at the mountain or just at the base of the mountain in East Burke. Go see this maple museum and take a tour of their factory! Tours start every 15 mins and run continuously in the fall. Crystal Lake offers an amazing view of the Barton area.

This 130 foot waterfall is found about 50 minutes from the cabins. It has nature trails, gardens and a maze that could challenge all ages.
